Testimonials
I have been employed as a contractor of APMHA for many months and continue to thoroughly enjoy working in partnership with this great team of people. The organisation’s emphasis on making quality, focused intervention readily accessible to those who need it is evident in the effort their staff continuously put into ensuring that professional treatment is delivered in the most timely, proficient manner possible. Their ethos of service and support to others is just as evident in the relationships APMHA strives to foster with their Contractors, referring Medical Personnel and Community Agencies. I have personally found their coordinating staff to be a pleasure to work with – readily accessible, communicative and, at all times, eager to assist me in my work as a Mental Health Practitioner. When it’s been deemed necessary, I have also relished having the opportunity to work collaboratively with others in order to achieve the best possible treatment outcome for a client.
Thank you for your continued referrals. I enjoy the positive working relationship I have with APMHA, the ease of the online referral database and invoicing system, and the personal communication where allocations for new referrals are being sought. I look forward to continuing this positive working relationship I have with APMHA well into the future.
I am very pleased to have this opportunity to write about my experience of APMHA.
I have found working with the Alliance to be a highly positive experience and it is definitely one of the most supportive professional relationships I have had. It is very clear to me that the Alliance is committed to both client and contractor wellbeing, and there is a strong emphasis on supporting contractors in all areas.
The Alliance has very good systems in place, and I have been well-supported with procedural, technical and clinical issues. I have been able to get phone or email support whenever I’ve needed it, and communication has always been warm, open and collaborative. The culture is such that I very quickly established relationships with individuals rather than just the organization, and this has applied to every department I have communicated with.
The Alliance has also provided me with regular, high-quality supervision, as well as very useful ongoing professional development. Not only has this been of huge benefit to me, but it has been provided free of charge. There have been several changes to the landscape in the time I have been involved with APMHA, and contractors have been well-supported through these. I do have to say that on several occasions, I have been taken by surprise at just how much APMHA has gone the extra mile to do so. Not only do I feel very fortunate to be a contractor with APMHA, but I can honestly say that I feel like a much-included part of the APMHA team.
I have recently worked with APMHA providing training for clinical staff within the Murray region PHN as a part of APMHA’s Risky Drinking Project. The Project is innovative, well developed and tailored to key issues outlined by the PHN to assist clinicians to build knowledge and skills in an area of growing importance and concern. APMHA provided me with all the resources I would need to run the training, while collaborating with me to allow me to deliver the training using my own clinical expertise and my own approach to seminar delivery. Furthermore, the training was delivered both face to face and in a webinar format, and the support provided by APMHA ensured seamless deliver across both of these formats. I have thoroughly enjoyed working with APMHA, both for the overall support and assistance they provide through their very experienced team, and the evidence-based best practice education packages they have developed in areas of significant need in the ever-evolving primary healthcare sector. I do hope to continue working with such a dedicated and professional team in the future.
When I first worked with the team at APMHA, what I immediately noticed was their solidarity and cohesion. Everyone brings their own unique skill set to the table. Their culture of collaboration is strong. And the way the team relates to the community and primary health providers is noticeably adaptive, so many of them have years of experience as health managers as well as practitioners. A very impressive bunch indeed.
