Our Board Members bring a depth of corporate knowledge, leadership expertise, clinical knowledge and lived experience especially relating to the challenges of mental health and drug and alcohol service access and equality.

Our Board is passionate about inclusion, acceptance and ensuring vulnerable communities receive high quality accessible care.

Dr Michael Moon - Non Executive Board Director

​Michael became a qualified doctor after graduating with an MBCHB from Manchester University in 2009. Working across multiple hospital wards and eventually medical practices in the United Kingdom, Michael completed specialty training in general practice in 2014. After 4 successful years within general practice, Michael emigrated to Australia, where he has been treating patients in his local area of St Kilda practice and a period of time in Shepparton.

Within his GP work, Michael specialises in mental health, AOD (Alcohol and other drugs), urgent care and sexual health as well as routine general practice consults. Michael became a board member at APMHA in 2022, and hopes to bring his unique experience in the medical realm to this growing and developing team, to help provide greater care, to greater numbers of clients, in a greater number of areas.

Cherie Krake - Non Executive Board Director

Cherie Krake has a variety of skills developed over a 30-year working career. Currently working in a Business Development Management role with a core focus on Sales and Marketing. Previous roles include general management and strategic creative marketing manager.

Cherie gains professional satisfaction by guiding a team to achieve company goals whilst empowering them as individuals. Cherie loves working with people displaying a passion and natural skill for understanding them, their motivations, preferences, and decisions. It is that love of people and family experiences that has led to a interest in mental health and assisting in the improvement of systems and processes.

Cherie enjoys volunteering at the Lort Smith Animal Hospital in her free time and has a love of learning with interests in renewables, sustainability, neuromarketing, strategy and problem solving.

Rodney Johnstone - External Board Consultant, Finance

Rodney Johnstone has been providing financial advice to clients for the past 22 years and really enjoys the process of helping people use their money wisely. The role encompasses understanding client needs, providing education, analysis of investment alternatives and creation of retirement strategies within the rules of the day, to move clients closer to their lifestyle goals. He has a real interest in people and their mental health as he meets lots of people in different financial and lifestyle situations.

He has a real sporting and community connection as Secretary of Footscray Rotary Club, which undertakes projects to improve the local community. Rodney is also Secretary of the Community Bike Hub which re-purposes donated bikes for allocation to refugees, asylum seekers and locals in need. He also enjoys playing field hockey and is a life member and Board member of Footscray Hockey Club.

Rodney is married to wife Karen and has a son Joshua, who are all members of the Western Bulldogs.

Donal McGoldrick - Executive GM Business Operations/ Deputy CEO & Executive Board Director

Donal McGoldrick is a Credentialed Mental Health Nurse with over 20 years’ experience in senior Mental Health Nurse and management roles in addiction, clinical mental health, forensic, community mental health and primary mental health. He has worked at a senior management level within the Department of Health and Human Services, specialist State-wide services and NGO’s.

Donal has applied his experience of business operations, as well as business and clinical governance to his role as General Manager Business Operations. As one of the founding members, he has led compliance across contracting, reporting, quality & safety, recruitment, HR, and risk management. Donal is an experienced Board member, and fulfils the Deputy CEO role throughout the year. Donal chairs APMHA’s Finance Risk and Audit Board Committee.

Tung Le - Executive GM Stepped Mental Health & Executive Board Director

Tung Le is a Credentialed Mental Health Nurse and Cultural Consultant with over 23 years of experience in mental health and AOD across a diverse range of environments. Fluent in both Vietnamese and English and with a strong, ongoing interest in working with the Vietnamese and culturally diverse communities.

Tung was one of the original founding members of APMHA, and has held various Board and Executive roles within the Company as it has rapidly grown. Tung brings with him energy and professionalism to all aspects of his work as the General Manager Service Delivery at APMHA. His expertise and passion continue to support our frontline triage team and external clinicians working across clinical services available through APMHA HealthCare. Tung sits on various Clinical Councils and oversees APMHA’s Clinical Governance Board Committee.

Colin Keating - Non Executive Board Director

Colin is a highly skilled executive leader, with more than 30 years’ experience across various industries and global regions, leading both publicly listed entities and privately held businesses. With a focus on people and culture, Colin has a demonstrable track record of establishing, developing, and nurturing high performing teams that have consistently delivered on both customer and organisational objectives.

Colin has been involved in the health sector for around 5 years having held a non-executive director role at Mindbio Therapeutics, and is currently the CEO of Microbio Ltd, a molecular diagnostics organisation focussed on the rapid detection of pathogens leading to sepsis infections and products delivering rapid results in the fight against antimicrobial resistance.

The mental health sector is close to Colin’s heart and his has a burning desire to drive improved patient outcomes for the benefit of our community’s mental health and wellbeing.

Jonathan Williamson - Non Executive Board Director

Jonathan Williamson is a senior commercial lawyer and registered trade marks attorney with experience in big law and boutique legal practices. Prior to practising law, Jonathan worked in the music industry as record company executive, artist manager, business owner and government policy adviser. Jonathan has extensive experience in corporate governance, commercial law and intellectual property law. Jonathan is a past chairperson of a youth music organisation and has previously been involved as a volunteer committee member in a local Little Athletics Club.
