Haete is an Accredited Mental Health Social Worker with over 20 years of experience supporting individuals impacted by complex life events including trauma and domestic and family violence. Her trauma-informed approach focuses on helping clients regain a sense of safety, empowerment, and control, while recognising the broader social justice factors that influence wellbeing. Drawing on somatic and narrative approaches, Haete tailors therapy to meet each client’s unique needs and stage of life. She works extensively with people from diverse backgrounds, ensuring culturally safe, inclusive, and respectful practice across all stages of life.
Pete specialises in providing neurodivergent affirming treatment to men with autistic traits and to men with signs of ADHD. He assists with strategies to improve emotional regulation and interpersonal effectiveness and to manage sensory overload. He encourages connecting with nature, engaging in special interests, connecting with others who share one's interests and values and grounding oneself compassionately with mindfulness awareness practice.
